The Raising Proud Black Children Neighborhood Block Party aims to recreate the love and unity we used to have in our old neighborhoods growing up.
A simple time when blocking off the street, enjoying some music, games, food, good times and fun, were all we needed to keep us connected.
We may be thousands of miles apart now but we can still connect using incredible technology to bring back the nostalgic memories of our childhood. We’re creating a virtual block party where we have fun while embracing our history and culture together.

History does not have to be so bleak all the time. Honoring our culture in all forms allows us to learn about our history in a way that is relevant, fresh, and fun! This block party allows us to share aspects of our history thoughtfully during a time when Covid-19 had left many of us isolated.
We are longing for connection.
And we are creating safe spaces to connect.
Here at Sankofa Club, we call it the Neighborhood and create it to reflect how we want our communities to be.

What is the Raising Proud Black Children BLOCK PARTY?
This virtual, one day event aims to inspire children and families with fun, interactive activities about Black history and culture. While learning, your children will be entertained and there will even be some dancing involved as well.

Where is the Raising Proud Black Children BLOCK PARTY held?
The festivities take place via an exclusive Zoom link that will be available only to those who have registered. This virtual experience makes it easy to impart important Black history and culture facts while spurring you and your children on to greatness.
