Absolutely! Inspiration drives us all, especially children. For children, Black Excellence inspires them, but it is left out of the school's education. Black people must be centered in your child's education and understanding to inspire them! This is why we are doing the "S.T.E.A.M. Is the Blackest Thing Ever" Challenge to help you inspire your child.
What Exactly Is This Challenge?
The “S.T.E.A.M. Is the Blackest Thing Ever” 3 Day Challenge is a virtual celebration of Black people in S.T.E.A.M. throughout history. Steam stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
These elements have been a pillar of the Black/African community since the dawn of time, but you wouldn't know that based on the education system and media.
Nevertheless, each day, we will show you how to use this education to inform and inspire your child in school and life.
We know you want your child to know and respect their history and want to help you achieve this. Join us for 3 days, try our techniques, and see a difference in your child, you, and your relationship.

A word from our founder and challenge leader
Hi I am Freddie Taylor, the CEO & Founder of Urban Intellectuals and Sankofa Club.
We have sold over 300,000 Black History flashcards across the globe and have provided 1,000s of parents with educational Black History lessons & tools to engage and foster a strong sense of Black pride within their children.
As a husband & father to 2 black sons I knew what it was like to grow up in an educational system where there was a lack of information about our black history. As my wife and I saw our kids go through the system with no tools, I decided to break the cycle and provide not only the tools I wish I had, but help parents feel confident about teaching their children Black history and giving them a solid place to start without feeling overwhelmed, miseducated, and consumed with time! My sons graduated high school at 16 years old & have beat the odds of what society portrays on our young Black men.
